How to create a Startup Repair Disk
Tip submitted by Dakeyras
Note: the below can only be done if your machine has a a type of CD/R or DVD/R optical drive installed. Also depending on the exact type of OEM your machine has you may be unable to actually create a SRD.
recdisc.exe
Please note: The above can be created with either a 32 or 64 bit Operating System. However the disks are not interchangeable…IE a 32 bit Startup Repair Disk cannot be used on a 64 bit Operating System and vice versa otherwise damage may be caused rather than any actual repairs implemented.
The differences between the aforementioned can be read in this Microsoft Article:-

Works great
Did’t work for me either. Erro could not create a statr up disc
when i tried to create a recovery disc i got the message saying the parameters are incorrect
Why only SRD instructions for Windows 7? I have VISTA and there’s no indication that the instructions will work for VISTA.
What I got was a message saying “The files necessary to create a system repair disc were not found on this computer. You can still create a system repair disc if you have a Windows installation disc.” I do not have the installation disc since this installation was done by the shop that assembled my computer over a year ago.
I am sorry,i could not see the command. Can you offer them? Thanks
