Never Delete These Windows Files
By Manish Singh for MakeTechEasier
When spring cleaning your PC – make sure to leave these files alone.–PC Pitstop.
Spring cleaning is a great way to clean the system, free up some space and hopefully, also speed up the computer. While it isn’t hard to find redundant and duplicate files, there are a few things you should never delete from your running Windows system. Deleting critical files may hinder the system’s functioning, whereas some files, if deleted, won’t cause any issues, but may still cause some inconvenience.
From system files to your browser’s data, there are some files that are better left untouched. Below is a list of files that you should skip when you’re on your next cleaning spree.
Don’t delete system files
This is pretty obvious, if the file is inside any of the system folders such as System32, Windows etc, do not delete them.
In the operating system drive (usually C), there will be pagefiles and hibernation files. Don’t delete them as they are there for some reason, and the system needs those files for proper functioning.

Glad to come across this page as you have shared very useful info. Many thanks
If you are facing issues in your smartphones like the application stopped working, IMEI issues, and boot lap issues, you can download the firmware file which can get back your phone in factory format.
Windows has many files in their system and each file has its own code and working feature, if we delete this file, there is a chance to crash of window so we need to never delete windows file.
Duplicate files deleter software helps you dash off some more space by eliminating copied or unnecessary files in bulk. This software gives forth truly what you would presume based on its name, and it does it effectively and quickly. You would not believe how much space it raids off.
When I attempt to “continue” reading a particular article of yours, I get a “bad gateway” page. This is very recent.
What can I do about this?

DUH Why would anyone delete "system files"?????
good stuff to know, but how do we know if system files were deleted?
good article for novices like me. I want to but don’t know how to w/o causing untold problmes for myself, delete 3 of the 6 restore dates on my system. Can you advise me?
Thx.
@Ms C Honaker:
Piriform free program called CCleaner can remove individual system restore points. For safety sake the latest system restore point can’t be deleted. The area of removing system restore points is found under tools of CCleaner. Program also does other cleanups. Don’t place a check mark by “lls Log Files” This messes up windows Task Scheduler. Had to reinstall windows as I couldn’t find a fix for that. Also don’t place a check mark by “Ms Search” found under the applications tab of ccleaner. At least this can be fixed using System File Checker tool sfc /scannow
If there is a program that will allow me to use XP anytime and everytime I wish to
use my computer at a fair price I would be interested in it.
