Security Feature – Java Restriction

With the upcoming release of Super Shield version 3.0.7.0, we will be introducing new restrictions to Java. The default behavior for Super Shield will be to block Java in total. This is in an effort to increase security on your devices with the introduction of new malware that specifically leverages Java to carry out its attack. We believe that the best course of action is to lock this down, but want to make sure if Java is critical to your operations or environment you can enable it easily.

Super Shield Options – Enable Java

Within the Super Shield Options, you can toggle the Enable Java setting to turn it back on for any level of your account. Our recommendation is to leave this ‘Off’ if you don’t absolutely need Java in your environment. If it is required, turn this setting to ‘On’ for the devices or group that need Java.

  1. Please help me turn disable Java so I can pull up my trading program, Think or Swim. It won’t come up and there was a message re. enabling Java. I can’t find on PC Matic where to change that. . . .

    Thank you. . . .
