PC Matic University
PC Matic University (PCMU) has been in development for over a year now. The quizzes, videos, and tutorials are meant to give you a better understanding of how your computer runs. We also show you how PC Matic protects and optimizes your device.
All of this is free to you. Cybersecurity is our number one concern at PC Matic. PCMU is aimed at making sure we keep you educated on the tools you’re using.
Below you can find a link to our basic computer safety test. It’ll test your knowledge on computer safety. Afterwards, the test breaks down any answers you may have missed. There’s also a link to the PCMU video library to offer you additional resources.
Check back frequently for more PCMU content as it’s delivered to you. And, as always, stay safe out there.

I bought a new HP laptop just over a year ago. I’m in Florida now but tried getting PCMatic in this new machine was very confusing since I already had full membership to PCMatic. Never did get it on my new machine. I’d like to scan it but guess not
Why not just ‘close the browser’? In whatever way one might chose. By the time you get that message pops up anything bad that might happen has already happened so it doesn’t matter how one closes the browser.
We love PC Matic for our computer. We did have 4 but not anymore. It is great protection.
I am smarter than I thought. I got 100% on my first and only try. With that said I will not let it go to my head, just remember to practice what I know all the time.
I though Alt-F4 (or CMD-H on an iMachine) was the quickest way to close a browser.
I missed the one about scan frequency. I chose every hour instead of once a week. If you had once a day I would have picked that. I guess I am paranoid about the onslaught of malware, spyware, and ransomware.
Hi Rick,
Remember that scans are in addition to the protection you’re enjoying every day.
Tried to take the test, but the question box, as well as all the answer boxes were blank!?!?
same with us.
I thought i knew all the answers, but i did learn something also. I loved doing the test and want more of those.
